In an emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number). Nothing on this site contacts emergency services for you.
No safety guarantee
The honest version, in plain language.
Transparency, not guarantees
This site and each trip's host help you see who you'd be traveling with: what was checked about each person, who checked it and when. That's all it is. Nobody here can promise that a trip, a place or a person is safe.
A badge shows what was checked, not that someone is safe
A verification badge means a specific check happened, like a video call, two references, or an ID check through FFN Pass. Every badge names who did the check. It says nothing about how someone will behave. Trust your own judgment too.
Check-ins and SOS are not an emergency service
Check-ins and SOS alert the people who care about you, like your trusted contacts and the group. Nobody monitors them around the clock, and they can be delayed or fail with no signal or a dead battery. In an emergency, call your local emergency number first.
Everyone keeps their own exit plan
You can leave a trip at any point. Before a trip, each traveler plans how they'd get home on their own (money, route, a person to call) and doesn't depend on the group to do it.
Hosts are travelers too
Anyone Verified with FFN can host a trip here. Hosts are usually travelers like you, not professional guides, and this site isn't a travel company. Each trip's page shows what its host has planned and what was checked about them.
Each trip can have its own version of this statement, along with a code of conduct and a waiver. They're linked from the trip's page, and the people on the trip read and sign them before it starts.
